The Manifold Clarinet
Season 2023/2024

Which wind instrument has the largest register of expression can squeal like a tram on rusty rails (Carl Nielsen) or sneak into the heart as in Mozart's last solo concerto for, well, the clarinet.

The clarinet also sent Beethoven and Brahms into ecstasy, but here at this portrait concert, the Ensemble's clarinetist, Frederik von Würden, shows that there are other and more expressions in the diverse clarinet. Monet blue and other pastel colors by Debussy, sharp corners by Bartók, English humor by Malcolm Arnold and passion and pain by Uruguayan Miguel del Águila.

360 degree view with the clarinet. Enjoy!
