Christmas is sung with local children's choirs, who perform together with the very young soprano Anna Gerda Sylvest and the Danish Chamber Players.

The choirs sing both traditional and modern Christmas carols, i.a. "When you see a shooting star" and melodies from DR's classic Christmas calendar "Jul på Slottet".

The musicians of the ensemble play along and also play some beautiful classical pieces on their own. The only 22-year-old soprano Anna Gerda Sylvest sings along and creates an angelic sound, so that the Christmas spirit can spread.

About Anna Gerda Sylvest:
Anna Gerda Sylvest (b. 2001) studies classical singing at the Royal Danish Academy of Music with singing professor Helene Gjerris.
Her musical journey began early as a singer in the Sankt Annæ Girls' Choir, where during her time there she participated in a production of Richard Strauss's opera "Die Frau ohne Schatten" at the Royal Opera and performed as a soloist in many contexts both inside and outside Denmark. Despite her young age, Anna Gerda has a lot of experience as a soloist. In the years after her departure from Sankt Annæ Girls' Choir in 2017, she took part in, among other things, as a soloist with the Sankt Annæ Symphony Orchestra and in a performance of Hasse's Miserere with the Sankt Annæ Girls Choir and Concerto Copenhagen under the direction of Peter Spissky. In 2022 she won Den Jyske Sangskole's talent prize and in the same year she participated in a production of Per Nørgaard's opera "Gilgamesh" at the Rued Langgaard festival in Ribe.
Anna Gerda is employed by Holmen's office and often performs as part of Holmen's Vocal Ensemble.
