Bjarke Mogensen on the Concerto by Anders Koppel:
The 2nd part of Concertos and Movements, features premiere recordings of two arranged movements from Anders Koppel’s Concerto No. 2 (2018) These tracks marks my long and ongoing collaboration with Anders, a musical partnership that has shaped so many important moments in my life.
Special in particular as it reunites me with The Danish Chamber Players AKA Ensemble Storstrøm – one of my very first collaborators, since 2006 as a more or less professional musician. There’s a beautiful sense of nostalgia in returning to work with these musicians on music that has such personal significance. These two tracks were recorded by multi-genius Oscar Miccaelsson.
